PROBLEM

The goal for this conceptual project was to work with the program below and create a narrative for the feature crashed wall within a loft space.

Program

Ground Floor: Drive-In Garage (15’x20’), Crashed Wall, Enclosed Green Space, Sunken Living Room

Mezzanine: 2 Bedrooms w/ Open Closets, Catwalk w/ a single V or Y Column, Small Lounge/Balcony

SOLUTION

Act 1: Oh you know. They meet on San Sebastian's sandy shores for a sultry, fleeting summer fling.

Act 2: It’s on and off, like a bad habit.

Act 3: It comes to a crashing end in his vintage 57 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, in her Spanish vivienda.

Act 4: She leaves him, keeps the car, and turns the remnants of the accident into a bespoke crashed wall.
